Frequently Asked Questions

Tabitha Ruggiero |

What is terrazzo?

Terrazzo has an interesting history with roots all over the globe. Going back more than 500 years in Italy where marble was the main material of choice. Venetian workers would use scrap marble fragments that they saved from their upscale projects, placing them in a mortar base for their own residences and terraces. Terrazzo is frequently used in flooring, but we have modernized it by creating housewares in colors and shapes for today's lifestyle.

What are the products made of?

Our products are made from a composite material much like plaster and a water-based eco-friendly resin that doesn't contain any solvents and VOCs like regular resins.

Why does my product have little holes?

Due to the nature of the material and curing process there may be some air bubbles that were caught on the surface of our products. We try our best to limit these as much as possible, but with our products being handmade this isn’t always possible.

How do I take care of my item?

All items are sealed with our polishing wax and can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Using any harsh cleaning products or scrubbing will damage the surface of your piece. Do not place in dishwasher or leave soaking in water, the material will decompose.

Is your item looking a little dull? Don't worry, you can easily bring it back by rubbing it with our polishing wax. We include a sample in our glass tumblers, storage containers and the hurricane candleholders. You can use Clark's Concrete Polish if you did not receive one of our samples.

How quickly will you ship my order?

Handmade products take more time to make and ship (3-5 working days), but it will be worth the wait!

However, if you're in a rush, reach out to us on social media or email, and we'll do our best to expedite your order.
